- Our notifications have been completely revamped to make them less intrusive, yet more reliable and relevant than ever before.
- Notifications about new messages are now grouped by discussion, making it easier to stay on top of your chats.
- Plus, if someone edits or deletes a message they sent you, Olvid will reflect those changes in real-time, so you always have an accurate view of the conversation.
- And if you use Olvid on multiple devices, we’ve got you covered! When you read a message on one device, the notification will automatically disappear from all your other devices.
- Ensures messages sent before (but received after) a remote deletion request are properly discarded, preventing unexpected appearances.

- Introducing group types! Creating and managing an Olvid group is now easier than ever.
- It is no longer possible to moderate received messages unless in an advanced group configured with the appropriate permissions.
- Two options are now available when deleting a message or discussion: delete from the local device or from all devices you own.
- Fixed an issue where users occasionally had to force quit the app after it had been idle for a period.
- Reacting to a message can now be done by performing a long-press on the message. Double-tap reaction option is still available.

- Long awaited feature! You can now explicitly mention a contact in a discussion. Tap the ’@’ symbol in the composition field, choose who you want to mention, and you are good to go.
- This feature changes the notification behavior for a “muted” discussion: if you receive a message that mentions you, or one that replies to a message that mentions you, or one that replies to one of your messages, you will always be notified.
- This new notification behavior can be modified for all discussions at once, or for one discussion in particular.
- In the list of recent discussions, you will see an ‘@’ symbol on all discussions that have a new message that mentions you.
- It is now possible to drop an attachment directly in a discussion. Super handy in multitasking mode for our iPad users !
- After scrolling up in a discussion, it is now easy to go right back down..
- The different badges displaying counters are now always consistent.
- Locked discussions would not appear in search results. This is fixed.

- Discussions can now be archived.
- Archiving a discussion does not delete it, it only removes it from the list of recent discussions.
- If a message is received (or sent) in an archived discussion, it is automatically unarchived.
- Typing a draft in an archived discussion also unarchives it automatically.
- To access an archived one-to-one discussion, navigate to the corresponding contact screen and tap the “Chat” button.

- Certain notifications were received twice, this is fixed.
- iPad users with a physical keyboard can send messages by simply tapping Command + Return.
- You can now clone any group, even if you are not administrator of the group.

- New behavior of your address book! Now, an Olvid user becomes a contact only if you explicitly agree. You are now in full control of your address book!
- A new list of “other” Olvid users is now accessible from the “Contacts” tab. Typically, these users are part of the same discussion groups as you. Inviting these users to be a contact of yours can be done in one tap!
- A group invite from a contact is now automatically accepted.
- You still need to explicitly accept group invites from Olvid users who are not part of your contacts.
- Sharing with Olvid is now easier and you can now share content into multiple discussions at once!

- The reactions are larger and easier to tap.
- Bugfix: The reactions were not properly refreshed (it required manual scrolling to actually see an update). This is fixed.
